Brand & Interface Copy

KASITA

Content & Brand Strategy, Copywriting

KASITA is set to change the way we think of housing. They're also one of the coolest companies debuting at SXSW 2016.

I've been helping to define a voice that is as unique as they are. First we set up the site for the big launch, and there's much more to come.

BSX Athletics

Content & Brand Strategy, Copywriting

BSX Athletics makes a wearable sensor that measures lactate threshold—a crucial metric for endurance athletes. Our team built out their mobile and web brand for a product launch.

I led the client through the content strategy process, creating an 18-page content strategy document with everything from tone per channel, to key messaging, to a brand manifesto. My goal was to have a living guide the team could use long after the project was done.

Working closely with the project's designers, my role spanned everything from content UX to researching the endurance athletics market. The result was a refreshed brand that was as modern and cool as their device.

Beam

Content Strategy, Product Naming, & Copywriting

Mutual Mobile wanted to make a smart home product that looked as good as it worked.

I branded and named our HomeKit app, focusing on what helps support a home. After guiding the team in a naming exercise, we selected the name Beam. From there, I developed the tagline "Elevate Your Home."

I also worked closely with our visual designer on the app concept to give the copy a distinct voice. We wanted it to come across to users from in-app copy, to the website, to the App Store text. We built out a website to support the product's launch, and the app was released in Fall 2015 to interest from die-hard home automation lovers and newbies alike. It was one of my favorite projects—building a dream product from scratch.

Waldo Photos

Content Strategy, Copywriting

Waldo is a photo-finding platform that connects people with photos taken of them. At a festival and your picture gets snapped by a photographer? Waldo lets you text or find your photo super easily via the app.

The team came to me to help develop the brand voice for launch. I created a voice and tone guide, and collaborated on both the initial app and site copy to make Waldo fun (like using emojis in the app tour).

Digital Turbine

Content Strategy, Copywriting

Digital Turbine is an international mobile company with multiple products in different markets. Their business involves a lot of moving parts, and they were looking to bring clarity to what they offer.

I started this project by interviewing company stakeholders in some of their markets, including Australia and Israel. That research helped me quickly bring simple language to describe their technical products.

The Fox Society

Copywriting

The Fox Society was a custom dating concierge service launching in Austin, setting out to create romantic packages for couples. Cheese class this month and a pastry chef in your home the next? They had Austin's daters covered. They came to me wanting succinct messaging to introduce their brand.

I created the tagline, "Leave Date Night to Us" and helped craft web copy that showed how easy the service made date planning.
