UX Writer

About

I like to help people find the right words.

As a kid growing up in Miami, FL, I wrote a poem about the moon. It used lots of metaphors, and I won a trophy for it that was as big as I was small. I got hooked on using words to convey meaning.

I found copywriting in college, and polished my skills at portfolio school and agencies. Living in Austin, Texas got me into tech, where I led content for a mobile agency, defined language for startups, and wrote on the design team at Under Armour.

UX writing brought me to the Bay Area—to Netflix as their first UX writer, and then to Airbnb. I’m now on the Human Interface design team at Apple, and hosted the first-ever WWDC talk on writing for interfaces.

When I'm not writing or reading, I'm hiking with my husband and our Brussels Griffon, tending to my houseplant jungle, or dreaming of my next trip.
